Some files like MKV won't play. Can you help me?

Try to update your version of MpcStar. The latest one is MpcStar 5.4 and you can download and install it from MPCSTAR web page.

MpcStar is equipped with 2 official skins only: the Classic one and the Modern one. To access them you need to go at Tools tab > Options > Skins. Also MpcStar offers you the possibility to make your own skin but this usually requires a program that is open-source. You can try to find unofficial skins on Google.

Even if MpcStar supports many popular file extensions, it is not designed to play the MP3 files. You can see all the file types supported by MpcStar by pressing the O key on your keyboard and by clicking on the File Types tab from the Option menu. To play the MP3 files you can download and install Winamp, VLC media player, RealPlayer, or KaraFun Player.
